Singer-songwriter Heize has released her sixth mini-album "Lyricist" on various music sites, as well as double title tracks “Lyricist” x “Things are going well” music video at 6 p.m. on the 10th.
"Lyricist" is an album that contains five tracks with double title tracks “Lyricist” and “Things are going well”.
The title track "Lyricist" is based on the Bossa Nova rhythm, a song that unravels the vintage sensibility of the Heize style. The second title track, "Things are going well" is impressive with a classical piano, groovy performance, and boom bop style beats on top of jazz harmony. The addictive chorus melody and Heize' unique vibes made fans excited.
In addition, b-side song “Your name (Feat. ASH ISLAND)" which features lyrical top-line progress in city-pop rhythms, "1/1440 (Feat. Gicanel)" where you can focus more on kick sounds, bass lines, lyrics and melodies with the minimal instrument, and "Things are going well" in the chorus, reinterpreting the lyrical sensibility to the original song.
In particular, Heize, who attempted to make changes about her visual and music through "Lyricist," boosted the release mood by releasing a series of spoiler contents for her fresh album, including not only five track-specific concept photos, but also movie-like music video teasers ‘Lyricist:oon (Lyricist + Cartoon)’.
Meanwhile, Heize is expected to captivate the listeners again with songs about her own story.
