On January 29 at 6 p.m. KST, (G)I-DLE made their highly-anticipated return with their second full-length album “
2” and its title track “Super Lady.”
According to Hanteo Chart, “2” sold an impressive total of 862,992 copies on its first day of sales alone, easily breaking (G)I-DLE’s previous first-day sales record of 689,502 (set by their 2023 mini album “I feel”).
(G)I-DLE has now become the girl group with the fifth-highest first-day sales in Hanteo history, bested only by aespa, NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, and BLACKPINK.
Additionally, “2” shot to the top of iTunes and Apple Music charts in numerous countries across the globe shortly after its release. According to Cube Entertainment, by January 30 KST, “2” had already hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 24 different regions including Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and more.
“2” also reached No. 1 on Apple Music Top Albums charts in at least eight different regions including South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, and Singapore.
