On July 14, ALO MALO Entertainment announced, “We recently signed an exclusive contract with Shin Jimin.”
Through her new agency, Jimin commented, “I’ve come to greet you from a new nest. Up until now, I have done a lot of thinking and taken time to look back on myself. Although I am still cautious, I will try to move forward step by step. Please watch over me in the future.”
Along with the announcement, ALO MALO Entertainment released a new black and white profile photo of Jimin.
In July 2020, Jimin left AOA and halted all activities after her former bandmate Kwon Mina claimed that she had been bullied by Jimin during her time in the group. Over a year later, Dispatch published several past conversations between the former AOA members.
After staying silent on social media for over a year and a half, Jimin returned to share a new song with fans early this year. This past January, AOA’s agency FNC Entertainment also officially announced that Jimin’s contract had ended.
