EXO Baekhyun is set to make his debut as a solo singer in Japan with his first Japanese mini album titled 'BAEKHYUN' on January 20, 2021.
Baekhyun announced the news of his Japanese solo debut in a video on EXO's official SNS, saying, "I am very happy to be able to release my first Japanese album. Please wait for it."
Baekhyun's first Japanese mini album will contain 6 new songs created under the various themes of love. Each song will also be a version of the album - this album will have 6 versions. The songs are 'Get You Alone', 'Addicted', 'WHIPPIN’', 'Drown', 'Disappeared' and 'Stars'.
The mini album will come about 7 month after his latest comeback in South Korea with the mini album 'Delight'. And it will also make Baekhyun the first EXO member to debut as a soloist in the Japan's music industry.
Baekhyun made his debut as a member of EXO in 2012. He then made his solo debut last year with the mini album 'City Lights', which was a huge success, making him a "half-million seller" at the time, as well as the best-selling soloist of the 2010s. In June, he released his second solo mini album 'Delight', breaking various records and making him the first 'million seller' soloist in about 19 years.
