BLOO's song 'Downtown Baby' from 2 years ago is climbing the Korean music charts again after it was sung by singer Lee Hyori on MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo'.
Lee Hyori (Linda G), Rain (Biryong), and Yoo Jae Seok (Yoo Dragon), who formed a mixed group in MBC's entertainment program 'Hangout with Yoo', conducted some vocal and rap tests on the episode aired on June 13.
Lee Hyori chose 'Downtown Baby', which was released by BLOO in December 2017, saying it was her favorite song, and sang with an attractive low voice.
After the broadcast, BLOO's 'Downtown Baby' became the most searched word on music sites and portal sites, drawing attention. As of 5 PM KST on June 15, 'Downtown Baby' climbed to No. 1 on the Bugs real-time chart, No. 14 on Genie, and No. 39 on Melon, coming back to the charts in about two and a half years after its release.
The sudden attention also surprised the original composer, BLOO. He posted a screen capture of popular songs in the top search on June 14 and was embarrassed, saying, "What is happening now?"
BLOO then wrote "Thank you Linda" in another post to thank Lee Hyori for singing his song.
