CL announced on her official SNS in the morning of November 16 that, "I'm preparing for my next project, the album 'ALPHA', and 2021 in the United States. As I was preparing for it, a lot of great opportunities and more ideas were coming up, so I decided to change the release date of 'ALPHA', which was slated for November 30, after a lot of thought."
CL, who is currently working in the U.S., has postponed the album release to make it more perfect.
The singer then said, "I really wanted to keep my promise, but I hope the time will be filled with anticipation rather than waiting because the decision was made so that I can meet you with a better work!"
Earlier, CL released double singles 'HWA' and '5STAR' on October 29, and 'HWA' ranked third on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart on November 14, confirming her global popularity.

I'm preparing for my next project, the album 'ALPHA', and 2021 in the United States.
As I was preparing for it, I had a lot of good opportunities and new ideas, so after a lot of consideration, I decided to change the release date of 'ALPHA', which was scheduled for November 30.
Since it's my first physical album and it's a meaningful album, I kept thinking about making it better. After discussing with my team and other people, I decided to postpone the release date until early next year.
