Yuehua Entertainment, former X1 member Cho Seung Youn (WOODZ)'s agency, has confirmed that the singer will make his solo comeback in late June.
The company told Newsen in an official statement on June 5 that, "WOODZ is preparing a new album with the aim of releasing it at the end of June. We are currently coordinating the detailed schedule."
In an Vlog released on June 2 through WOODZ's official YouTube channel, he expressed his feelings of releasing a new album. He said, "Many people think it is a new challenge. I think it is an important album, as it is a new road for me."
WOODZ started his solo career in 2016 under the name of 'Luizy'. He made his remark as a solo rapper in season 5 of 'Show Me the Money', and later developed his capabilities as a singer-songwriter by releasing 'Baby Ride' (feat. BTOB Hyunsik).
After changing his stage name to 'WOODZ', he expanded his music spectrum with singles 'POOL' (feat. Sumin), 'DIFFERENT' and 'meaningless'. He also proved his ability to produce songs such as GroovyRoom's 'This Night'.
Fans' expectations for WOODZ's new album are also high, as it has been only five months since the disbandment of the boy group X1.
