BTS has won the 'Favorite Duo/Group' for the 'Pop/Rock' category at the '2020 American Music Awards' ('2020 AMAs') held in Los Angeles at 9 AM KST on November 23.
On the same day, BTS delivered their acceptance speech through a video recording. The members were the first to say thank you to ARMY (their fandom), and they didn't forget to promote their new album.
BTS has been nominated for two categories: 'Favorite Duo/Group' in the 'Pop/Rock' genre, and Favorite Social Artist. As expected, they won the first prize.
Their recently released title track 'Life Goes On' from the album 'BE (Deluxe Edition)' is an alternative hip-hop genre featuring emotional acoustic guitar sounds. It is a meaningful song for those who are suffering from "a situation where they have to run hard and stop", as life goes on.
The '2020 American Music Awards' is considered a prestigious awards ceremony along with the Grammy, Billboard Music Awards and MTV Music Awards. This year, a large number of pop stars including BTS, Doja Cat, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Dua Lipa made their appearance at the show.
