YG Entertainment revealed on January 25 that, "The music video filming for the title track of Rosé's solo album has been finished in the middle of this month," adding, "It is a large-scale MV with a huge production cost, so we are doing our best to improve its completeness. We are planning to officially announce her album release schedule soon."
In addition, Rosé expressed her opinion that she wanted to perform her solo song on stage first to the fans who she hadn't seen in a long time, and YG agreed after much consideration.
It is a very unusual and difficult decision to perform a new song that has not yet been released at a live-stream concert on YouTube. Rosé and YG's special thoughts are expected to be a great pleasure for fans.
BLACKPINK's first solo project started in November 2018 with Jennie's song 'SOLO'. The music video of the song, which swept the top of major music charts in South Korea and abroad, has recently surpassed 600 million views on YouTube, breaking an unbelievable milestone for a Korean solo female singer.
Fans' expectations peak at the good news, as Rosé will be the second soloist of BLACKPINK in two years after Jennie.
Regarding Rosé's solo song, YG shared, "It shows off her sweet yet soulful vocal," and added, "It will definitely be a different song from existing BLACKPINK music."
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's online concert 'THE SHOW', to held from 2 PM KST on January 31, will unveil for the first time not only Rosé's solo song, but also the performance of songs in the group's regular album.
YG said, "We hope it will be a good gift for fans as it is a concert that the members worked hard for for the past two months to bring high-quality performances with the live band."
