Before Jennie debuted as the main rapper of BLACKPINK, she featured in BIGBANG G-Dragon‘s song “Black”.

However, Jennie revealed that she doesn’t have the fondest memories of this time.
When BLACKPINK guested on Jung Yumi‘s radio show, Jennie shared that she has a “painful memory” of when she performed “Black”.
Jennie then explained that she didn’t know anything about music programs at the time and that she struggled to find the camera when she was on stage.
G-Dragon was already used to music programs at that point, so everything came to him naturally. Jennie didn’t want to bother G-Dragon, so she didn’t ask him for any advice. This caused Jennie to get lost while performing.
However, after Jennie saw herself looking lost during the broadcast, she decided to ask G-Dragon for help on how to find cameras while performing.
