On June 9 local time, Billboard announced that ATEEZ’s new mini album “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1” had achieved the biggest U.S. sales week of any K-pop album this year.
“GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart as the best-selling album of the week, and it also debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, where it was bested only by Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department.”
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1” earned a total of 131,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on June 6—marking the largest week of any K-pop album in 2024. The album’s total score consisted of 127,000 traditional album sales (the most of any K-pop album this year) and 4,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 6.15 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week.
“GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1” is ATEEZ’s fourth consecutive top 3 album and their seventh entry overall on the Billboard 200. The group previously entered the top 3 of the chart with “THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL” (which debuted at No. 1), “THE WORLD EP.2 : OUTLAW” (No. 2), and “THE WORLD EP.1 : MOVEMENT” (No. 3).
Congratulations to ATEEZ on their impressive achievement!
