Singer Lee Suhyun of K-Pop duo AKMU (Akdong Musician) will make her debut as a solo artist by the end of this year with a new song.
According to a music industry insider on September 4, Lee Suhyun will release a new solo song during the autumn.
Earlier, regarding AKMU's comeback, YG Entertainment, the agency, said on August 11 that the duo will release 3 new songs by the end of this year. AKMU is known to have already finished working on all the songs.
The agency also said in a fan notice last month, "As AKMU, who has a genius musical capacity, confirmed their change and growth with their album 'SAILING' last year, you can expect their evolution this year."
So, can we expect this "evolution" to be Suhyun's solo debut? Let's wait for YG's confirmation.
Lee Suhyun debuted as a part of K-Pop duo AKMU with her older brother Lee Chan Hyuk after winning SBS' 'K-Pop Star Season 2' in 2013. The 21-year-old singer touched the listeners' hearts with her unique clear voice, and gained public popularity with massive hits such as 'Give Love', '200%', 'RE-BYE', 'Last Goodbye' and 'How Can I Love The Heartbreak'.
Recently, she sang 'Reflection', the official Korean cover of the OST from Disney's 'Mulan', which drew much attention.
