6 Things Hidden In BLACKPINK Rosé “Coming Soon” Teaser That You May Not Know

Rosé has released an exciting new video teaser.

BLACKPINK Rosé has released a teaser for her highly-anticipated solo debut, and BLINKs couldn’t be more excited. The video is only 33 seconds long, but it’s filled with intriguing details. Here are 6 things hidden in the teaser that you probably might have missed!

1. The bathtub from “Lovesick Girls” MV

In the teaser, Rosé curls up next to a bathtub stained with black paint. Fans quickly drew a connection between this tub…

…and the one from BLACKPINK’s “Lovesick Girls” MV.

2. The wine glasses

Rosé dines alone with a glass of red wine. The wine, if it is a rosé wine, could be a reference to her stage name. The three empty wine glasses in the background might represent her three BLACKPINK members watching over her.

3. The rose imagery

Rosé’s name is similar to “rose”, and she goes by the username @roses_are_rosie on Instagram. Roses also feature prominently in “Coming Soon”. In the teaser, she throws a red rose in a house with floral wallpaper…

…she dines in a room that has vases of roses in the background, and she appears as a silhouette behind this burning rose.

This room, littered with flowers, appears at the end of the video. Roses often symbolize love, passion, longing, and love lost.

4. Summer Cruising

In the background of the kitchen, there’s a picture with the words “summer cruising” on it. Although the picture has a ship, “summer cruising” might also be referencing a past, happy memory from the “Lovesick Girls” MV.

Toward the end of the MV, BLACKPINK goes cruising together through the summery countryside.

5. The clock

It’s difficult to see, but the hands of the clock appear to point to 10:25. Is there a significant meaning behind this?

6. The candles

“All my love is gone, now you’re dead and gone,” Rosé sings. Candles are often lit in memory of the dead, and they are shown throughout the teaser, along with other symbols of broken memories, like the framed pictures on the wall.

Some fans have theorized the Rosé is mourning the death of a lover, the end of a romantic relationship, or the demise of love itself. Some are even wondering if she killed her (fictional) ex!

The teaser finished by hinting that fans can look forward to the full version of this track during BLACKPINK's first live online concert 'The Show', coming up on January 31 at 2 PM KST.

Now, in a curt statement issued to media outlets, YG Entertainment informed fans, "The music from the teaser released earlier today is Rosé's solo sub-title track."

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment is said to have invested a shocking amount in production costs toward BLACKPINK Rosé's solo debut title MV. Even the teaser for a b-side track also expresses the extraordinary sexiness of the idol, which portrays the confidence and long-term effort of both YG and Rosé.
