In South Korea, you’re considered an official a.dult when you turn 20 years old according to the Korean aging system, or 19 years old according to the international aging system. But, did you know that Koreans technically turn one year older every January 1, no matter when their birthday is? That means these precious K-Pop group maknaes will all reach a.dulthood in just a few days!
1. Jisung (NCT)
Jisung is the maknae of NCT, as well as the vocalist, rapper, and main dancer of NCT Dream. He’ll be turning 19 (international age) on February 5 next year.
Fun fact: Despite his young age, Jisung is known for having surprisingly large hands and feet.
2. Huening Kai (TXT)
Huening Kai is the maknae of TXT, and although the group doesn’t have official positions, many consider him one of the unofficial visuals. He’ll be turning 19 (international age) on August 14 next year.
Fun fact: Even though he’s the youngest member of TXT, Huening Kai is one of K-Pop’s tallest maknaes at 183cm (6 feet) in height.
3. Yeojin (LOONA)
Yeojin is the maknae of LOONA, as well as the group’s vocalist and rapper. She’ll be turning 19 (international age) on November 11 next year.
Fun fact: Adorable Yeojin is also the shortest member of LOONA at just 155cm (5 feet) in height.
4. Ningning (aespa)
Ningning is the maknae of aespa, as well as the group’s main vocalist. She’ll be turning 19 (international age) on October 23 next year.
Fun fact: Ningning first appeared on stage at the age of just 12 when she participated in a Chinese singing show, Let’s Sing Kids.
5. Lucy (Weki Meki)
Lucy is the maknae of Weki Meki, as well as the group’s rapper, vocalist, and lead dancer. She’ll be turning 19 (international age) on August 31 next year.
Fun fact: Lucy may be young, but she’s surprisingly strong. She once showed off her ability to break an apple in half with her bare hands.
6. Lena (GWSN)
Lena is the maknae of GWSN, as well as the group’s main vocalist and center. She’ll be turning 19 (international age) on April 17 next year.
Fun fact: Before even reaching adulthood, Lena has lived in numerous countries around the world, including Thailand, the US, and South Korea.
7. Woonggi (TOO)
Woonggi is the maknae of TOO, as well as the group’s vocalist. He’ll be turning 19 (international age) on April 23 next year.
Fun fact: This isn’t young Woonggi’s first shot at stardom. He also used to be a famous child actor under the name Cha Jae Dol.
8. Semi (CIGNATURE)
Semi is the maknae of CIGNATURE, as well as the group’s lead dancer and vocalist. She’ll be turning 19 (international age) on April 10 next year.
Fun fact: Semi used to be a trainee under JYP Entertainment, joining the company when she was just 12 years old.
9. Dylan (D-CRUNCH)
Dylan is the maknae of D-CRUNCH, as well as the group’s vocalist and rapper. He’ll be turning 19 (international age) on July 26 next year.
Fun fact: One of Dylan’s special skills is his ability to say anything with adorable aegyo.
10. Sunshine (NATURE)
Sunshine is the maknae of NATURE, as well as the group’s main vocalist. She’ll be turning 19 (international age) on June 20 next year.
