Actress Jung In Sun and member Kang Minhyuk from boy band CNBLUE have been offered the lead roles in the drama based on the webtoon 'Born in 1985'.
According to multiple broadcasting officials on July 3, Jung In Sun and Minhyuk are under positive consideration after receiving a proposal to appear in a drama based on the webtoon 'Born in 1985'.
'Born in 1985' is a popular webtoon published by Kakao, which tells the story of a 31-year-old female webtoon writer who meets a man who is the CEO of a publishing company and was her first love when she was young. It depicts the life and agony people in their 30s suffer and the detailed emotions that follow.
Jung In Sun was offered the role of Seo Ji Won, the webtoon writer in the drama, and Minhyuk was offered the role of Lee Seung Yu, the publishing company's CEO. If Jung In Sun takes the role, it will be her next film in about six months after tvN's 'Psychopath Diary', which ended earlier this year. Meanwhile, this can be Minhyuk's first work since he was discharged from the military.
The drama will be produced by Kakao M and Merry Christmas and will be made in a digital shortform format.
