Lee Seung Gi and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo earned the chance to become news reporters for a day!
On the April 19 episode of SBS’s “Master in the House,” Cha Eun Woo surprised the cast by joining them as a one-day disciple.
The members then met with their new masters, who turned out to be the team from SBS’s “8 O’Clock News.” The masters informed them that the top disciple would have the opportunity to appear on air during the sports news segment that evening, while the second-best disciple would appear on the radio.
To assess their skills, each member was given the chance to audition for the anchor position. Yang Se Hyung made a mistake while reading the script, while Shin Sung Rok‘s nerves were visible as he read his lines in an old-fashioned way.
After Cha Eun Woo flawlessly read his lines, the masters gave each other high fives in celebration. One of them joked, “Even if listeners can’t hear you, they can try to hear you better,” while another chimed in, “I think your voice will match well when we’re sharing good news.”
After his turn, Lee Seung Gi received praise from the anchors for relating the news in a smooth, stable tone. Reporter Jo Jung Sik commented, “You did a great job even though you’re a beginner.” Choi Hye Rim added, “You have to be well-prepared in case an unexpected situation arises. Part of an announcer’s skill set is dealing with the situation as if nothing happened.”
The final task was to memorize an article within 30 seconds and quickly recite it. After Lee Seung Gi was the only one who was able to pull it off, he was chosen for the role of one-day announcer, and Cha Eun Woo was selected for the radio news broadcast.
