YG Entertainment finally announced the debut of their upcoming boy group TREASURE after 2 years of wait.
On July 13, YG Entertainment's official Twitter account unveils the news with a coming soon poster, announcing the group's debut.
Twelve shiny dots in the blue gradient tone background, which is full of freshness, are combined to form a single jewel logo. Choi Hyun Seok, Ji Hoon, Yoshi, Jun Kyu, MASHIHO, Yoon Jae Hyuk, Asahi, Bang Ye Dam, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jung Woo, and So Jung Hwan are the 12 members of the team, which symbolizes the entire shining treasure.
TREASURE is a large rookie group that YG will announce four years after BLACKPINK. It was created through the survival program "YG Treasure Box," which aired from November 2018 to January 2019. It is YG's fourth boy band after BIG BANG, WINNER, and iKON, as well as a 12-member boy band consisting of the first many members to try since YG's 24th year.
In particular, the main vocalist Bang Yedam's solo song "WAYO," which was released in June as part of his debut project and a surprise gift for fans, was well-received for topping iTunes' nine countries.
The fans' curiosity and expectations are expected to soar further as detailed information or exact schedule on the Treasure debut song is still veiled. YG previously stressed that "Treasure plans to release new songs continuously by the end of this year," adding, "It is a promotion similar to the one that released single every month in the early days of Big Bang's debut in 2006."
