Singer Ben has announced her marriage to Lee Wook, chairman of the W Foundation. The two have been in a public relationship for a long time.

On the afternoon of August 26, Ben posted a handwritten letter to fans on her personal SNS account, revealing about the wedding.

Ben wrote, “I have thought again and again about how I should deliver the news, but I wanted to tell the fans who always care for me and love me in person, so I ended up writing like this.”

“I have a person who promised to be with me for the rest of my life,” Ben said. “We are not perfect, but we are trying to make up for each other’s faults and fill each other’s gaps, and live a beautiful and happy life.”

Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, Ben plans to have a small wedding with only parents and close relatives.

“I sincerely thank the fans who trust and support me, and I will continue to repay you with good music,” she added. “Everyone is having a hard time, but I hope you are always healthy and happy.”

Ben made her K-Pop debut in 2010 as a member of the group Bebe Mignon. Since then, she has established herself as a solo artist by making hits such as ‘Love, ing’, ‘Like a Dream’, ‘180 Degree’, ‘Don’t Go Today’, and ‘Thank You for Goodbye’. Meanwhile, Lee Wook heads the W Foundation, which conducts relief for climate refugees and conservation campaigns.

The two officially admitted their romantic relationship in September 2019.
