Shin Min Ah and Lee Yoo Young have appeared with a mysterious secret in the new trailer of the thriller movie, 'Diva'.
'Diva' is a mystery thriller about Lee Young (played by Shin Min Ah), nicknamed the “diva of the diving world.” After a car accident, madness steadily encroaches upon her as she struggles with memory loss and the disappearance of her best friend Soo Jin (played by Lee Yoo Young).
The trailer begins with Lee Young at a press conference after what appears to be another flawless diving performance. She looks out into the crowd to spot Soo Jin, who walks away.
The clip jumps to Lee Young at the hospital as the world finds out about her car accident. Talking with her diving coach Kim Hyun Min (played by Lee Kyu Hyung), Lee Young asks about Soo Jin. To her surprise, he tells her they were together.
After discovering that Soo Jin has gone missing, Lee Young begins to feel haunted by her best friend. She thinks back to a time they were looking at jellyfish and Soo Jin commented, “Doesn’t this look like you? It’s very extravagant.”
Before the accident, Soo Jin says she plans to retire, and Lee Young requests they compete one last time together. Their coach tells Lee Young, “Let’s say you mess up your individual performance. Who do you think will get the hate?” She responds, “I’ll just do well in both.”
Lee Young takes their last dive together but looks up from the water to see Soo Jin still standing on the diving platform. Soo Jin comments, “Even if it’s just one time, I hope you become like me. Why? Are you afraid I’m going to take your place?” as Lee Young tears apart a locked journal. After, Lee Young asks someone, “Before the accident, what did we talk about?”
As more haunting scenes flash by, Lee Young comments, “There’s a Soo Jin that I know nothing about.” Their coach comments, “She must’ve been jealous of you.” Soo Jin remarks, “You of all people have to believe in me.”
Lee Young falls deeper and deeper into madness, and her coach exclaims, “You said you were different from her. What’s the difference between you and her right now?” She retorts, “Do you see me as Soo Jin?”
