Red Velvet’s Irene and Shin Seung Ho have finished filming their new film “Double Patty” (working title).
“Double Patty,” which will mark Irene’s big screen debut, is a coming-of-age film about young people chasing their dreams and embarking on a relatable journey of growth and development. Irene will star as Lee Hyun Ji, an aspiring anchorwoman who works tirelessly to achieve her dream, while Shin Seung Ho will play Kang Woo Ram, a former ssireum (Korean wrestling) athlete.
Filming ended on September 12, and the stars commented on their experience working on the new movie.
Shin Seung Ho said, “I had a really fun time working with great senior actors and staff members, and it was an honor to be able to learn so many things. I feel sad that the filming has ended, but I’ll be greeting viewers with a new version of myself in theaters, so please show lots of love.”
Irene shared, “I think time went by really fast. I hope this movie becomes one that’s fun and gives strength to viewers as much as I worked hard to film it.”
Director Baek Seung Hwan commented, “All the actors and staff members worked really hard. I had fun working with everyone, and I’ll do my best to complete a great project.”
Following post-production, “Double Patty” will be available in theaters as well as various OTT platforms.
