Ivana Alawi recalls schoolmate asking about her mom: "Is that your helper?"
Ivana Alawi, 23, has admitted that she experienced other people's judgments because of the presence of Filipino mother, Fatima Marbella, and Moroccan father, Samier Al-Alawi.
Ivana grew up in Bahrain with her two older siblings.
"That's why we studied in Bahrain. So more of, like, Arabs are there.
"And Mommy really cares about me because she's hardworking, she's really hands-on with us.
"And then, when he welcomed us ... There were quite a few people, students who were just moms, low-minded Filipinos."
Ivana's mother is on trial.
Ask Ivana: "Is that your helper?"
She immediately clarified, "No! That's my mom."
Ivana adds, "For me, don't look down on the Filipinos because we work hard, and we work [hard] really."
Ivana shared it on the ABS-CBN morning talk show Good Life, on Monday, March 9.
Ivana's respect and love for the mother is there.
Ivana was young when her parents separated and her mother decided to return to the Philippines.

Ivana also tried to join the ABS-CBN reality show Pinoy Big Brother .
As a teenager he was in the top 10,400 in the lineup.

Ivana was fourteen years old when she started TV commercials, and she was 21 when she first appeared on television as an "extra."
Although her role was small, she often accompanied her to the tapes.
