Caroline Suh, the director is the director of BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky. She recently sat down and revealed some interesting about the sister line of BLACKPINK consists of Jisoo and Jennie.
They're described as having such unique personalities that will definitely surprise Blinks!
The documentary was officially out where fans all over the world could watch it on Netflix. Not just the big moments on stage of 4 girls, we could now see a totally different sides of them with their happiness, their hard-working process and intense determination of each girl to be a part on this journey.
Jennie is the first member to appear to share about her stories. The girls had admitted that she isn't fond of talking about herself. When Caroline was asked if the main rapper felt any uncomfortable to open up about this, she unexpectedly said that it was quite the opposite.
"We did the interviews toward the end of filming, so they knew us. They hadn’t been part of a project like this before, so they came to understand what we were trying to do and that we really wanted to show them as they really are. Those were our only intentions." - Caroline Suh.
Jennie seems to be a lovely extroverted person but in real life, she's indeed an introvert. She's also the type of people who is honest all the time.
"So by the time we interviewed her, she felt comfortable with us. She’s shy, but she is also very unguarded in a lot of ways. She tells it like it is. If she is going to talk, she’s going to be honest. That’s what you see in the interview is her being totally straightforward, which is how she is." - Caroline continued.
Then Jisoo - the oldest sister of BLACKPINK is the next one that NYLON asked Caroline to share about. She may gives out the first impression as a quiet person but like TEDDY had introduced in the beginning of the documentary, she's truly a book smart and street smart at the same time.
"I love Jisoo. She’s really funny. She is very mature. I just like her a lot as a person. Her instinct is to take care of everyone else, to step back and help everyone else be successful. I love when Teddy says that she’s street smart because that shows a different side of her."
For Blinks, jisoo is the group's mother with comedian as her part-time job.
"You really shouldn’t take her powers for granted. She’s a force. She’s very subtle, and there are small moments in the film where she shows who she really is. At the beginning when they’re in the recording studio, she sings one note, and it’s really funny. When she’s cooking with Jennie and says it’s not bad but not good. She has these subtle, very funny moments." - the director said.
Based on Caroline's words, both of them are just so down to earth! What's not to like about these two?
