Jellyfish announced the expiration of their exclusive contract with VIXX N in an official press release on November 3.

The agency said, "Jellyfish informs you that our exclusive contract with N has expired since October 31. After a long conversation and discussion, we and N decided not to renew the contract under mutual agreement. However, as a member of VIXX who has been with us for 8 years, he will continue to do his musical activities together with the group."

N's new management company will be 51K. Only the final stage of the exclusive contract is left. 51K is a management company that are now working with actors such as So Ji Sub and Ok Taecyeon.

The result is known to reflect N's determination to solidify his position as an actor. In particular, Ok Taecyeon's move to expand his career from a member of idol group 2PM to an actor seems to be a factor in N's decision.

N, who enlisted into the military in March last year and was discharged from on July 7, plans to focus on acting for the time being.

Starting with MBC's 'Hotel King' in 2014, N has built up his acting skills by appearing in dramas such as OCN's 'Tunnel' in 2017 and tvN's 'Familiar Wife' in 2018.

In MBC's 'Children of Nobody', which ended in January last year, he impressed viewers by playing a key character that gave a twist in the drama.

"We sincerely thank N for his long faith in Jellyfish, and we will continue to cheer for N's future," the company added.
