Singer Ken from boy group VIXX has confirmed to join the military to fulfill his national duty on July 6 through a handwritten letter.
"VIXX Ken will join the army on July 6," his agency Jellyfish Entertainment said on June 28. "The location and time of his enlistment will not be disclosed for safety reasons."
Ken announced his enlistment in a handwritten letter on VIXX's official fan cafe on June 27, saying, "I don't know where to begin. I'm always grateful to you. I just applied to the military and passed the test, and I'm going to fulfill my military duty on July 6."
Ken went on to say, "I will always cheer up and work hard during my military service, so please stay healthy and happy. I'm sure you were surprised by the sudden news, but I wanted to talk to you in person. Thank you very much, and I really love you, and I love you so much," he added, expressing his special affection for the fans.
Ken, who debuted in the K-pop scene as a member of VIXX in 2012, proved his skills and successes in various genres of works through musical stages as well as group activities. In addition, he released his first solo album in May and has been doing various promotions.
