On January 21, YG Entertainment announced on their official website that TREASURE will release the debut Japanese album 'THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT' on March 31.

The album is the Japanese version of TREASURE's first full-length album 'THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT', which sold 280,000 copies in its first week. A total of 13 songs will be included, including the Japanese version of all 12 songs, as well as the boys' first Japanese original song 'BEAUTIFUL', the ending theme of the anime 'Black Clover', which is widely loved after its release on January 5.

TREASURE had received keen attention from Japanese local media and fans early on. Starting with YG TREASURE BOX, the news of TREASURE's debut was reported in real time through local media. In August last year, Japan's 6 major sports magazines and terrestrial broadcasters highlighted the group's Korean press conference and records set on the first day of their debut with the headline "TREASURE's World Stage Debut".

Although it is only the beginning, the popularity and growth potential of the boys in Japan were also seen through objective figures.

From their debut songs 'BOY', 'I LOVE YOU', to 'MMM' and 'MY TREASURE', all four album title tracks in the 'THE FIRST STEP' series topped Japan's major music charts. In addition, out of 1 million copies sold, the share in Japan was 26%.

Mashiho, a Japanese member, expressed his thoughts and aspirations, saying, "I will do my best to deliver dreams and hopes to more people through my debut in Japan."
