Park Bom announced the success of her diet on January 4 through her personal Instagram, saying, "I was like that at last year's 'Grand Bell Awards'." She also posted her photos before and after dieting. In the new picture, Park Bom looks more energetic and healthy due to her weight loss.
"I lost 11kg, from 70kg to 59kg, because I was on a diet after having a shock," she said. "It was really hard to lose weight because of the medication I took to get treatment for ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), but it's so nice to have done it."
"After losing weight, I've reduced taking medicine and I'm getting healthier," she shared. Finally, she hinted her upcoming comeback to the K-Pop scenes, "I'm really not going back to that again! Please look forward to my comeback, too."
Earlier, on June 3, Park Bom appeared on the red carpet of the Grand Bell Awards 2020. Her swollen face and body surprised the public and became the talk of the town. Many netizens felt sorry for the 2NE1 member's beauty, saying it was due to her excessive desire for plastic surgery.
Responding to the situation, her agency D-NATION shared, "Park Bom will take a break until she returns with a new music product. She did not perform at the Grand Bell Awards, but only appeared as a movie lover. In 2019, Park Bom participated in many shows as a solo artist. She has been then spending a lot of time resting, eating, improving her fitness. The company told her not to worry too much about her weight and rest comfortably. We are in the process of producing music, preparing for Park Bom's new album. She is also trying to lose weight to prepare for her return." The agency also emphasized that the 2NE1 member has no physical health problems.
