His agency Starship Entertainment told Newsen on January 20 that, "I.M is gearing up for a solo song with the goal of releasing it at the end of this February."
This will be the first solo song I.M releases since his debut as a member of MONSTA X in 2015. As he has been doing well, receiving good reactions from domestic and foreign music fans, with his solo mixtape 'Fly with Me', many people are paying attention to his first official solo song.
Since his debut, I.M has been loved for his contribution to MONSTA X's hit songs such as 'Trepass', 'Follow', 'Alligator', 'FANTASIA', and 'Love Killa', ranking high on music charts at home and abroad.
Praised by fans as an "all rounder", I.M not only takes charge of making the rap part for all of MONSTA X's domestic albums, but also contributed greatly to establishing the team's color by recording his own songs 'MOHAE' and 'UR'. Being fluent in English, he plays a pivotal role in globalizing MONSTA X, leading various interviews in overseas activities without a separate interpreter, and also conducted exclusive interviews with Forbes, the Chicago Tribune, and the BBC.
