Woollim Entertainment announced on December 17 that singer Bong Jaehyun of boy group Golden Child was tested positive for COVID-19.

The agency explained, "Bong Jaehyun conducted a pre-emptive test on the evening of December 16 and was confirmed positive this morning (December 17). Bong Jaehyun did not do any other outside activities except for the filming schedule. The filming-related staff, who are likely to have overlapping movements with him, have also completed necessary measures, including getting examined."
"Bong Jaehyun is asymptomatic and will be quarantined separately according to the health authorities' guidelines," they said. "Right after Bong Jaehyun's confirmation, the entire accommodation and Woollim Entertainment office building were also quarantined." In addition, all members of Golden Child, as well as all of the agency's employees, have conducted pre-emptive COVID-19 tests and are separating themselves regardless of whether they made contact with Jaehyun or not.

"Hello, we're Woollim Entertainment.
Bong Jaehyun of Golden Child was tested positive for COVID-19 on the morning of December 17.
Bong Jaehyun conducted a pre-emptive test on the evening of December 16 and was confirmed positive this morning (December 17). Bong Jaehyun did not have any other outside activities except for the filming schedule. Staffs related to the filming who may have overlapping movements with the artist have also completed necessary measures, including taking tests.
Bong Jaehyun is asymptomatic and will be quarantined separately in accordance with the health authorities' guidelines.
In addition, immediately after Bong Jaehyun's confirmation, the entire accommodation and Woollim Entertainment building were also quarantined. All Golden Child members as well as all our employees, regardless of whether they have made contact with Bong Jaehyun or not, are conducting pre-emptive Coronavirus tests and are separating themselves.
We will let you know as soon as the other Golden Child members' test results come out.
