BTS is now the first K-Pop star ever to be officially nominated at the Grammy Awards. They will be competing in the 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' category.

According to foreign media outlets including Entertainment Tonight (ET), CBS, and Britain's Independent, BTS was included in the list of Grammy Awards nomination, which was unveiled on November 24. The announcement was made by Harvey Mason Jr., president and CEO of the Recording Academy, reading the list with stars such as Dua Lipa and Sharon Osborne.
The English single 'Dynamite' by BTS was nominated for the 63rd Grammy Awards, in the category of 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance'.
In this category, in addition to BTS, other nominees include 'Rain On Me' (by Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande), 'UN DIA (ONE DAY)' (by J. Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, Tainy), 'Intentions' (by Justin Bieber ft. Quavo), and 'Exile' (by Taylor Swift ft. Bon Iver).
Since last year, BTS has started to rise beyond the ceiling of K-Pop, reaching the Grammy Awards. Last year, BTS's album 'Love Yourself: Tear' was nominated in the 'Best Recording Package' category, an award for the cover design of an album, but didn't win.
Out of the three most prestigious music awards ceremonies in the world, the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), the American Music Awards (AMAs) and the Grammy Awards, BTS has been honored at BBMAs and AMAs. In fact, ARMY (their fandom) know the Grammy is a super difficult challenge. However, ARMY and BTS are still hoping to grab the first Grammy Awards in the Korean music history.
BTS V also posted on the group's fan community on Weverse to celebrate the news, saying, "Hello, this is Grammy nominee BTS Kim Taehyung."
