Halsey, Lauv, Steve Aoki To Perform At Big Hit Labels' '2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE'
The '2021 NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE Presented by Weverse' will feature special stages by foreign artists, including Halsey, Lauv, and Steve Aoki.
The '2021 NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE' is the first joint performance by Big Hit Label artists to be held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from 9:30 PM KST on December 31. In line with its main theme "We've connected", special performances called 'Connect Stages' will be presented, transcending time and space.
Halsey, Lauv, and Steve Aoki will participate in the Global Connect Stage to spread messages of comfort and hope in a new way to music fans around the world who are communicating with music in a situation where physical meetings are difficult due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, Big Hit announced that they will cancel the offline performance and proceed with the online live streaming as scheduled. As the concert will be held on the last day of 2020, the company plans to hold a New Year's countdown celebration titled 'MEET&GREET', in the form of an online fan meeting will also be arranged..
'MEET&GREET' is a real-time content where fans and artists meet in the studio space, not the main performance stage, and will be implemented as a multi-view broadcasting under the theme "We've connected". When performances are being staged on the main stage, artists and fans meet in the studio space below the stage. Audiences can experience a variety of performances by choosing the screen they want to watch between 'Main Performance' and 'MEET&GREET'. It is expected to connect artists with artists, fans with fans, artists with fans, and the end of 2020 with the start of 2021.
Although it is an online event, it is not known exactly whether or not the performance will be pre-recorded or how the countdown will proceed. Big Hit will follow government quarantine guidelines to create a safe performance environment.
Meanwhile, on the pre-stage of '2021 NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE', trainee Hanbin from BELIFT:LAB, who advanced to the semi-final of Mnet's 'I-LAND', will make his appearance after a long time.
