Disney Investor Day 2020 has seen various announcements about upcoming films, series, and changes to streaming services Disney Plus and Hulu

Disney has announced a whole new slate of films and television series for Disney Investor Day.
On Twitter, Disney announced: "Over the next few years, roughly 10 @Marvel series, 10 @StarWars series, 15 Disney live action, @DisneyAnimation, and @Pixar series, plus 15 all-new Disney live action, Disney Animation, and Pixar features will be released directly on @DisneyPlus."
They also revealed that through Disney Plus, Hulu, Hotstar, and ESPN+ that they will have 137million subscribers.
Two new Star Wars films were announced to be in development. One will be directed by Wonder Woman's Patty Jenkins - entitled Rogue Squardon - and the other from Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi.
For Star Wars and Lucasfilm content, Disney announced ongoing series including The Mandalorian spin-off Ahsoka starring Rosario Dawson as the titular warrior, along with new show Rangers of the New Republic, which will be set during the times of The Mandalorian.
They also revealed a trailer for upcoming Disney Plus series Andor, a spin-off show from Star Wars film Rogue One and starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor.
Elsewhere, it was confirmed that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor.
There will also be an all-new animated Original Series from Lucasfilm Animation entitled Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
A series of Star Wars shorts called Visions will also come, while an event series about Lando Calrissian is also in development.
It was also tweetd: "Leslye Headland brings a new @StarWars series to @DisneyPlus with The Acolyte. “The Acolyte” is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era."
They added: "Lucasfilm Animation is teaming up with Lucasfilm’s visual effects team, Industrial Light & Magic, to develop a special @StarWars adventure for @DisneyPlus, A Droid Story. This epic journey will introduce us to a new hero guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO."
Lucasfilm is also continuing its work on producing the next Indiana Jones film.
Disney tweeted: "Lucasfilm is in pre-production on the next installment of Indiana Jones. At the helm is James @Mang0ld, director of Ford v Ferrari, and Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will be back to continue his iconic character’s journey. Adventure arrives July 2022."
A series based on the film Willow will arrive in 2022 and see Warwick Davis reprise his classic role.
Meanwhile, a ton of new Marvel updates also arrived.
WandaVision starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany released a new trailer and it was confirmed to be released on January 15 on Disney Plus.
A new trailer was also released for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan and will be released on March 19 on Disney Plus.
The Loki television series starring Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson also released a new trailer and was confirmed to be arriving in May 2021 on Disney Plus.
Animated series What If...? will also arrive on Disney Plus in 2021 and also released a new trailer.
A number of new details were also confirmed about upcoming films and series.
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness will arrive in cinema on March 25, 2022.
It will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, & new addition to the MCU Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez.
The film will tie into WandaVision and the next Spider-Man film - which has been confirmed to tackle the Multiverse.
Meanwhile, after much speculation it was confirmed that Black Widow will arrive in cinemas on May 7, 2021.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has completed its production and will arrive in cinemas on July 9, 2021.
It was also confirmed that Iman Vellani has been cast as Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel in her own Disney Plus series due in late 2021.
Vellani will reprise the role for Captain Marvel 2 opposite Brie Larson as Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau played by WandaVision's Teyonah Parris.
The film will arrive in cinemas on November 11, 2022.

Hawkeye starring Jeremy Renner as the original Avenger and introducing Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop.
It will also star Vera Farmiga, Fra Free, and Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez
Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany was also confirmed to be playing She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters in Disney Plus series She-Hulk, which will also feature Tim Roth as the Abomination and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk/Bruce Banner.
Moon Knight was confirmed to be coming to Disney Plus
Elsewhere, Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn's Talos will feature in Disney Plus series Secret Invasion.
Disney Plus series Armour Wars will see Don Cheadle reprise his role as War Machine/James Rhodes in a tale that will see what happens when Tony Stark's technology falls into the wrong hands.
Meanwhile, new series Ironheart will follow "Dominique Thorne is genius inventor Riri Williams in Ironheart, an Original Series about the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man."
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will arrive on Disney Plus in 2022 and be directed by James Gunn, while a series of shorts about Baby Groot are also on the way on the platform and called I Am Groot.
Christian Bale was confirmed to be playing villain Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder, due in cinemas on May 6, 2022.
The third Ant-Man film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been confirmed and will see returns for Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Big Little Lies' Kathryn Newton will portray an adult Cassie Lang, while Lovecraft Country's Jonathan Majors will play time-travelling villain Kang the Conquerer.
Black Panther 2 will be released on july 8, 2022, and will be written and directed by Ryan Coogler.
The role of the superhero T'Challa will not be recast following the death of Chadwick Boseman and the film will focus on other aspects of Wakanda.
Meanwhile, Jon Watts will direct the Marvel Cinematic Universe take on the Fantastic Four.
Elsewhere a sequel to 1993 film Hocus Pocus is also on the way and will be directed by Adam Shankman.
The Disney animated film Raya and the Last Dragon will release on the same day in cinemas and on Disney Plus via Premier Access on March 5, 2021, in a move akin to Warner Bros' recent announcements regarding HBO Max.
Elsewhere on Disney Plus, Sister Act 3 is also announced to be in development with Whoopi Goldberg returning, a new Cheaper by the Dozen film, a live-action film franchise for Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and a sequel to Enchanted entitled Disenchanted is due on Disney Plus and will star Amy Adams once again as Giselle.
Live-action adaptations of Pinnochio and Peter Pan & Wendy will also be on the way.
Disney also announced the launch of new label Disney Star which will see more general content added to their streaming service.
They tweeted: I"n select international markets, Star will add a huge collection to @DisneyPlus, including hit series from Disney Television Studios and FX, blockbuster films and library content from the Disney and @21CF libraries, and exclusive local original content."
They also announced new Hulu series including Only Murders in the Building starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, The Dropout starring Kate McKinnon, Dopestick starring Rosario Dawson and Michael Keaton, and Nine Perfect Strangers starring Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy.
They also renewed The Handmaid's Tale for a fifth season.
Over on their FX label on Hulu they also discussed the renewal of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for four more seasons, plus new shows such as American Horror Stories from Ryan Murphy and Jeff Bridges series The Old Man.
They also announced a new Earth-set series from the Alien film franchise that is being developed by director Ridley Scott and Noah Hawley.
Also confirmed for Hulu is a new project for reality TV icons The Kardashians
Disney tweeted: "The Kardashian Jenners will create new global content under a multi-year deal, to stream exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and in multiple territories on Star internationally."
A flurry of National Geographic documentaries have also been announced, including A Real Bug's Life, a new documentary on Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr., documentaries fronted by each Chris Hemsworth and Will Smith, and Secrets of the Whales narrated by Sigourney Weaver.
