Actress Angelina Jolie celebrated her 45th birthday with her six children at her home in Los Angeles and donated $200,000 to fight racism.
Angelina Jolie turns 45 on June 4. According to People, because of the pandemic, Hollywood stars and their children just gathered at home to blow cakes and have a simple party. Jolie also received the greetings from close friends and colleagues online.
All six children have been with Angelina Jolie since the outbreak. Maddox went to study in South Korea but returned home from March because the school was shut down. Last month, the whole family celebrated the birthday of 14-year-old Shiloh.
The day before birthday, Angelina Jolie donated $200,000 to the NAACP Legal Protection Fund to support the fight for equality after the death of black man George Floyd. She said on 3 June: "The right does not belong to any single group of people. The discrimination and the act of impunity are not tolerated, explained or justified. As Americans, I hope we can work side by side to resolve profound mistakes in social structure, I stand with NAACP Legal Protection Fund in the fight for racial equality, social justice and their call for urgent legislative reform."
Jolie also had conversations with her children about ethnic issues in the midst of a nation struggling to fight. The actress said this was one of the difficult but necessary topics to discuss.
Angelina Jolie previously donated $ 1 million to the No Kid Hungry Foundation to help poor children in the United States have a full meal in Covid-19. She also wrote to Congress in May calling for increased food support for families with children affected by the epidemic through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
