Nine years after her viral song “Friday” made her an overnight internet sensation, Rebecca Black is back.
Now 22, the California singer released a duo of new singles “Self Sabotage” and “Closer” in March, and has racked up nearly 1.5 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, where she touches on topics ranging from mental health to fashion.
She’s also quite the beauty buff, having recently debuted a fresh set of bangs and frequently sharing colorful eye makeup looks with her fans on social media. Below, Black shares a few of her go-to products — from an ultra-affordable moisturizer to the lip balm she buys in bulk — along with a couple of style essentials.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Lotion
“A makeup artist I worked with, Jill Colwell, showed me this stuff one of the first times we worked together back in 2016. It smells so yummy and has become essential to my everyday. The cocoa butter makes it creamy without leaving a greasy feeling. Little pro tip: Sometimes before I go out, I take a little bit of a shimmery bronzer and mix it with this lotion — it can help make your legs and shoulders look even more toned and glossy.”
LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm
“Being an incessant talker and singer, my lips are always dry. This balm is not too scented and has the slightest peachy color to it to give your lips the sliiiightest tint, which helps my face come to life a bit — and it pairs well over any lipstick, too, to make it feel more comfortable to wear all day. I keep one in my car, one in my bag, and one in my nightstand — probably overkill, but I just love it.”
ASOS Design Clear Plastic Belt
“I’ve recently realized wide clear belts have become my best friend in putting an outfit together. I wear mine with oversized jackets, shirts and dresses to still give myself shape even though I love that oversized look — especially with a blazer. The fact that it’s clear makes it so easy to match with anything, and also stops it from cutting you off at your waist and creating an unflattering visual.”
