Zayn Malik appears to address his on-off relationship with supermodel Gigi Hadid in new leaked track Hurt.
The former One Direction star’s last album release was 2018’s Icarus Falls, but fans were appeased this week (March 30, 2020) when Hurt, which was written in 2017, leaked on the internet.
While it’s unclear who the pointed lyrics in the track refer to, speculation has began suggesting they relate to Gigi, who he has been dating on and off since 2015.
In the tune, the Pillowtalk hitmaker, 27, sings: “You know me the best but you hurt me the worst. Every single thing you know about me is every single thing you use to only hurt.”
He continues: “I know I should let go now (but I know, but I know), no one else feels like home, yeah…You know just what to say to make me stay, make me stay. One more dose of the pain.”
The couple was first linked in late 2015, months after Zayn ended his engagement to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards. A year later, they posed side by side for a Vogue cover shoot but decided to part ways in March 2018 – before rekindling the romance a short time later.
After breaking things off again in early 2019, Gigi, 24, enjoyed a brief romance with The Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron – but it appears Gigi is once again back with Zayn.
