Shaggy, Finneas, and Alessia Cara lead Friday’s (April 3, 2020) lineup of MTV Unplugged At Home, a socially distanced version of the hit acoustic MTV concert series.
Alessia will kick off proceedings with a gig at 12:00 pm EST, with Shaggy, Finneas, Jewel, Melissa Etheridge, Monsta X, Bazzi, CNCO and Finneas among the acts set to perform on future editions as the show goes online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
They follow Yungblud, Wyclef Jean, and JoJo, who have already done MTV Unplugged at Home concerts. The gigs will be available on MTV’s YouTube and Twitter pages.
Also live streaming on Friday is The Light in the Attic & Friends Live benefit gig featuring artists from as far afield as Japan, Brazil, and Italy – as well as UK. and U.S, including Jarvis Cocker and Ben Gibbard.
The concert will raise funds for the MusiCares foundation to help acts affected by the cancellation of live shows across the globe due to the spread of the virus, COVID-19, and will air on Light in the Attic’s Twitch and YouTube channels from 7:00 pm EST.
Other live streaming highlights on Friday include Biffy Clyro performing from 1:00 pm EST on their Facebook page, and Hozier’s concert for Billboard’s Live-At-Home series, which starts at 5 pm EST. British indie rocker Jade Bird opens the new Sofa Sets series of live-streamed gigs from 3:00 pm EST.
Miley Cyrus will host the final episode of her Bright Minded Instagram Live talk show from 2:30 pm EST, where she will be joined by Elton John, Selena Gomez, Kerry Washington, and Jimmy Fallon.
