Popular singers Zion.T and MAMAMOO Hwasa have confirmed to lend their voices for the OST of SBS drama 'The King: Eternal Monarch'.
CJ ENM announced that Zion.T's 'I Just Want To Stay With You,' the first OST of SBS' new Friday-Saturday drama 'The King: Eternal Monarch' (written by Kim Eun Sook, directed by Baek Sang Hoon and Jung Ji Hyun), will be released at 6 PM on April 18, and 'Orbit' by Hwasa, the second OST, will be released at 12 PM on April 19.
Both Zion.T's 'I Just Want To Stay With You' and Hwasa's 'Orbit' were played in the first episode, which aired with much support on April 17, drawing huge attention from the public.
Zion.T's 'I Just Want To Stay With You' made a powerful impression during the fantastic scene where Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) confronts Jung Tae-eul (Kim Go Eun), adding strength to the mournful parallel-world romance between the two.
'I Just Want To Stay With You' is a song about a loving heart that wants and misses its other half despite the fact that they cannot be together. DOKO, who is recently considered the hottest producer and singer-songwriter, directly and subtly interpreted that emotional line between fate and coincidence through the song, giving a touching feeling.
Zion.T sang the song in a beautiful and delicate way with his unique warm sensibility. Zion.T's voice perfectly blends with the magical scene, foreshadowing the birth of a hit OST on par with 'Goblin' and 'Mr. Sunshine'.
Hwasa's 'Orbit,' played in the closing credit, expresses the intense and sophisticated atmosphere of 'The King: Eternal Monarch' and its mysteriousness beyond the dimension, and is a song about someone who carries a pledge to protect their loved one. It also received positive response in that Hwasa's powerful vocals harmonized super well with the track, along with dreamy yet intense guitar sound and hip-hop rhythm. This is the first time Hwasa participated in singing an OST as a solo artist in about six years after her debut, so it raised a lot of expectations from viewers and fans.
'The King: Eternal Monarch' has attracted many viewers with its vast scale and all-time fantasy romance developments, as well as its luxury OST, with Zion.T, Hwasa, and top singers to be unveiled later.
