Hyoyeon, a member of girl group SNSD (Girls' Generation), will appear on Mnet's new hip-hop reality show 'Good Girl: Who robbed the Broadcasting Station'.
According to an entertainment industry official on Sunday, Hyoyeon has recently confirmed her appearance in "Good Girl" and has finished recording her first episode. Mnet also confirmed this information.
"Good Girl" is a program in which female hip-hop R&B musicians unite as a team and compete with the opposing team presented by Mnet to win the prize money in every quest. The production team said that 'mighty' female musicians who are active in different scenes, including underground rappers and active idols, will appear.
Hyoyeon, who debuted as a member of Girls' Generation in 2007, released her solo song 'Wannabe' in 2017, in which she collaborated with rapper San E, giving off a different charm with trendy hip-hop performances.
Since 2018, she has been working as a DJ under the name 'DJ HYO.' Hyoyeon performed as 'DJ Hyo' and showed off her musical talents on various stages, including the 'World DJ Festival,' and performed several EDM songs such as 'Sober,' 'Punk Right Now' and 'Badster.'
Expectations are high on how Hyoyeon, who has continued her various challenges, will perform in 'Good Girl.' The reality show is scheduled to premiere at 9:30 PM KST on May 14.
