RBW has confirmed that Hwasa from girl group MAMAMOO is preparing for her solo album and will join the comeback competition in June.
On June 1, MAMAMOO's agency RBW told Newsen that, "Hwasa is preparing a solo album with the aim of releasing it in late June. We will let you know when our comeback schedule is decided."
This will be Hwasa's first solo album in about a year and four months, after the release of her first single 'Twit' in February last year. The singer was the first member of MAMAMOO to release a solo song. 'Twit' received great love as it not only dominated the domestic music charts and music broadcasts, but also topped the iTunes K-pop Song Charts in 11 countries around the world, including Canada and France.
Expectations are high on how Hwasa, who is also expanding her presence as a solo artist with her solid vocals and girl-crush charm, will capture the music industry this summer.
