According to analysis of a big data in April 2020, BTS continued their reign on the Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings, followed by EXO and BLACKPINK.

The Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation extracted 113,210,292 data from 100 idol group brands from March 23, 2020 to April 24, 2020, and analyzed the brand reputation index by measuring consumers' participation index, media index, communication index and community index for the top 100 idol group brands. Compared to March 2020, where there was 113,769,391 data, the figure fell 0.49 percent.

The brand reputation index is an indicator created through brand's big data analysis, finding that consumers' online habits have a significant impact on brand consumption. Through the analysis of the top 100 idol group's brand reputation, the level of media interest and the amount of interest and communication from consumers can be measured.

BTS (RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) brand was analyzed at 9,901,733 index, with the Participation index of 2,220,320; Media Index of 1,6535,591; Communication Index of 2,837,181; and Community Index of 3,190,641. Compared with the brand reputation index of 13,605,781 in March, the figure fell 27.22%.

EXO

EXO (Suho, Chanyeol, Kai, D.O., Sehun, Xiumin, Lay, Chen) brand was analyzed at 5,243,982 index, with the Participation index of 298,496; Media Index of 675,522; Communication Index of 2,415,083; Community Index of 1,854,881. Compared with the brand reputation index of 3,940,592 in March, the figure rose 33.08%.

BLACKPINK

The third-ranked, BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jenny, Rosé, Lisa) brand was analyzed at 4,638,840 index, with the Participation index of 250,712; Media Index of 537,014; Communication Index of 1,888,495; Community Index of 1,962,619. Compared with the brand reputation index of 5,219,601 in March, the figure fell 11.13%.

MAMAMOO

MAMAMOO (Solar, Hwasa, Moonbyul, Wheein) brand was analyzed at 4,249,989 index, with the Participation index of 49,496; Media Index of 467,759; Communication Index of 1,673,826; Community Index of 1,908,908. Compared with the brand reputation index of 2,245,404 in March, the figure rose 89.27%.

RED VELVET

RED VELVET (Wendy, Irene, Seulgi, Joy and Yeri) brand was analyzed to be 4,140,427, with the participation index of 281,160 Media Index of 405,254 Community Index of 2,117,780 1,336 and233. Compared with the brand reputation index of 4,372,792 in March, the figure fell 5.31 percent.

Koo Chang Hwan, director of the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation, said, "BTS brands ranked first in the idol group's top 100 brand reputation rankings in April 2020. According to the idol group brand category, the number decreased by 0.49 percent compared to the 113,769,391 data in March 2020. Detailed analysis showed a 9.30 percent drop in brand consumption, a 4.03 percent rise in brand issues, an 8.75 percent rise in brand communication and an 8.55 percent drop in brand proliferation. An analysis of the positive ratio for idol groups showed a positive ratio of 62.39 percent, up 2.26 percent from a positive ratio of 60.13 percent in March."
