The horror teen franchise Scream 5 has created a huge influence on the new generation since the first Scream movie was released. Many new horror movies made came along with changes in horror filmmaking, Scream has always had a solid place in the audience's minds as well as a stable fanbase.
Although the original Scream was the most successful of all and none of the sequels have been reached that level, a huge plot twist totally made everything change when Wes Craven passed away in 2015. This leads to a fact that the fifth movie of Scream will make the audience curious and expect more than ever.
Scream 5 will be under filmmakers Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin taking on directorial duties. There isn’t currently any plot to speak of, but past information has revealed that Gillett and Bettinelli-Olpin are all in on making something that honors Craven and the work that he has done on the Scream franchise.
No specific details of Scream 5 have been mentioned, it is reported that the movie Scream 5 is set to release in 2021 and to be in the theaters. Besides news of the release date, the production on the sequel is set to begin later this summer in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The first Scream was such a wonderful experience for horror fans, totally a perfect package of scares, mystery, and humor. Perhaps with fresh air as a new director works in the team, Scream 5 is potentially being the first in the series to be transformed - not trying to re-create the original but into a new concept that will do justice to what Craven built.
