Yoo Jae Suk Reveals BLACKPINK Lisa Solo Debut Will be in July
Yoo Jae Suk Spills BLACKPINK Lisa Solo Debut is in July
During the most recent episode of "Hangout With You," Yoo Hae Suk noted the artists that will be making a comeback in July.
As he has created a boy group, MSG Wannabe, who will be making their debut in July and will be promoting on music shows, Yoo Jae Suk decided to list out their "competitors."
He noted that on July 9, BTS would be making their comeback. Additionally, SF9 and Lovelyz will be making their return to the music scene, as well as soloist and Girls' Generation leader Taeyeon.
Among the artists he mentioned in the lineup included BLACKPINK Lisa. Many were surprised to hear the idol's name, as YG Entertainment has yet to release an official comeback schedule for BLACKPINK Lisa solo debut.
Previously, YG Entertainment released a statement in April confirming that Lisa was gearing up for her solo debut and that the Thai idol was working hard on her solo album. However, the company did not release any information concerning release dates nor info on what kind of music the idol is pursuing.
YG Entertainment asks fans to patiently wait for the official debut schedule. Earlier that month, Harper's Bazaar Thailand had shared a post claiming that the BLACKPINK member was preparing for her solo debut in June. This comes after an alleged comeback schedule from YG Entertainment was leaked online, where it stated that Lisa was slated to make her solo debut within the second quarter of 2021.
Rumors started circulating at the time that the idol would be working with DJ Snake for her solo debut. Previously, the DJ revealed through his social media that he and Lisa had worked on a song together. Back in 2020, DJ Snake also stated that he had worked on something with the whole BLACKPINK group, but it never got released.
YG Entertainment has not responded to the claims that Lisa will be debuting as a soloist in July.
