Nominees for the 30th Seoul Music Awards (SMA) for each category have been unveiled.

On Dec. 10, the Seoul Music Awards has updated its website and listed the candidates for the eight categories: Main Award, Rookie Award, OST Award, R&B/Hip Hop Award, Ballad Award, Trot Award, Popularity Award, and K-Wave Award. Besides these, this year's awards ceremony will have special recognitions such as Legend Grand Prize and Legend Rookie Prize.
The criteria for the final winners of Main, Rookie, OST, Trot, and R&B/Hip Hop Awards will be based on the votes of the judging panel and SMA organizing committee (40%), album and song sales (30% - according to Hanteo Chart) and mobile votes (30%).
For the Popularity Award, the winner will be determined through 100% Korean votes, while for the K-Wave Popularity Award, the votes will be from outside of Korea. Meanwhile, the judging panel and SMA organizing committee will be the ones to choose the winners for Band, Performance Culture, Discovery of the Year, and Judge's Special Awards.
Voting for each category will start from Dec. 11 at noon KST through Jan. 24, 2021. Fans can vote 10 times per day for every category. Some of the nominees for the categories are as follows:

Meanwhile, the special categories (Legend Grand Prize & Legend Rookie Prize) to celebrate the 30th Seoul Music Awards will have no real awards. The candidates are previous winners of the SMA Grand Prize, which can also be seen on the website. This year's SMA will take place in January 2021.
