VICTON Han Seung Woo has talked about his excitement for his solo debut and hopes to provide comfort to his fans.
VICTON’s Han Seung Woo is gearing up for his solo debut on August 10 with his first mini album “Fame” and title track “Sacrifice.”
Having made his debut as a member of VICTON in 2016, he is the first member to be making his solo debut. When asked how he feels, Han Seung Woo stated, “I’m so excited and nervous, but most of all, I hope many people will be able to find comfort and happiness in my music.”
Describing “Fame” as the first step to building his reputation as a solo artist, Han Seung Woo said, “The mini-album contains a wide variety of music, and the songs reflect my own story. I think it will be a mini-album that comforts many and is fun for both the eyes and ears.” When asked to recommend a song other than the title track, Han Seung Woo picked “forest” and said, “It’s a song that talks about me receiving so much comfort from fans, and wanting to be their forest too.”
He went on to talk about title track “Sacrifice” as he said, “The song mixes vocals and rapping to lean into hip-hop, a side of me I haven’t really shown much of till now. The song also holds a story of sacrifice for someone. I hope people will anticipate the rapping, performance, and my vocals.” He also raised anticipation for the music video and said, “I think people should focus on my styling and acting in the music video. And the dancers and I created a powerful performance as well.”
Han Seung Woo wrote lyrics for all songs on his mini-album and participated in composing some of the songs as well. When asked what his focus was, he stated, “I tried to reflect various stories and colors in the songs. Most of all, I tried to reflect my own story in them, and I tried to create music that many people can relate to and find comfort in.”
When asked about his goals for his solo debut, as well as his plans for the future, VICTON Han Seung Woo said, “My goal is for many people, especially people who are like me, to be able to listen to my music and find comfort in it. My future plan is to just keep working hard as always. I don’t think it matters what I do as long as I can be busy every day like I am now.”
Finally, he shared a warm message with his fans as he said, “I’m always grateful. I’m really, really grateful. From now on, I will be a forest for you. Let’s keep making even better memories. Please stay healthy and I hope we can enjoy this mini-album together.”
In addition, his first solo mini-album “Fame,” which was released August 10 at 6 p.m. KST, has topped iTunes Top Albums charts in 11 different regions, including Denmark, Hong Kong, Slovakia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Turkey, and more.
