During the talk, TXT members, particularly Huening Kai, Taehyun, and Beomgyu, revealed how Big Hit Entertainment scouted them. Taehyun stated, "I was contacted by a casting agent who said that they heard about me."
The host, Kim Tae Gyun questioned what the agency heard about him, and the idol answered with a laugh, "That my visuals were exceptional. I ended up joining the company because that kind of opportunity came my way."
TXT Huening Kai unveiled that he auditioned for 'K-Pop Star' but he only got into the first round and was removed from the contest afterward. "On my way home after being eliminated, I received a business card and was cast for an audition. In the end, I landed up joining Big Hit."
Meanwhile, Beomgyu shared, "My hometown is Daegu. One day, I ran toward my dad's car after school and immediately got in, but someone suddenly knocked on the car window like crazy. It turned out to be a casting manager who asked, 'You're Beomgyu, right?' and that's how I was first cast."
During the audition for Big Hit Entertainment, it is said that Taehyun sang Kim Jae Joong's 'I'll Protect You' and Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend.' He officially became a trainee of the label on March 1, 2016, and underwent the training process for three years.
Huening Kai, on the other hand, has been joining auditions as a duo with his older sister, Lea, who is a former member of a K-Pop girl group called VIVA. One time, they participated in a reality television show called 'K-Pop Star,' however, they got rejected.
But then, one of the employees of the show became an employee in Big Hit and remembered Huening Kai, so he scouted him for the said agency. Kai sang AKMU's 'Give Love,' Crush's 'Sometimes,' and Maroon 5's 'Sunday Morning.' After passing the audition, he trained for two years and six months.
It turned out that the Big Hit employee who scouted Huening Kai was the same person who went all the way to Daegu to cast Beomgyu. That time when the employee saw Beomgyu in front of the school was during his exam period, so he was unable to go to Seoul for an audition. Hence, the audition ended up being in Daegu. Beomgyu sang Busker Busker's 'Bus Stop' and Jeong Joon Il's 'Hug Me'. He then trained for two years, which made him the TXT member to have the shortest training period.
Meanwhile, K-Pop boy group TXT just made their comeback on Oct. 25 with their third extended play titled 'Minisode 1: Blue Hour.' It consists of five songs including the lead single 'Blue Hour,' in which all five members of TXT took part in writing the lyrics.
