TXT Breaks Their 1st-Day Sales Record + Tops iTunes Charts Worldwide With “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL”

TXT’s latest comeback is off to a promising start!

On October 13 at 1 p.m. KST, TXT made their long-awaited return with their new full-length album “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” and its soaring title track “Chasing That Feeling.”

According to Hanteo Chart, “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” sold an impressive total of 1,927,363 copies on its first day of sales alone, breaking their previous first-day sales record of 1,868,919 (set by their mini album “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” earlier this year).

Both “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” and “Chasing That Feeling” have also topped iTunes charts in many countries all over the world. By 9 a.m. KST on October 14, “Chasing That Feeling” had already hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 19 different regions, including Brazil, Singapore, Portugal, and Vietnam. Meanwhile, “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” had reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 17 different regions, including India, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Turkey.

Additionally, not only did all nine of the songs on “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” enter Melon’s Top 100, but TXT’s pre-release single “Back for More” (with Anitta) and their previous title track “Sugar Rush Ride” also climbed back up the chart—meaning that TXT managed to simultaneously chart 11 different songs on Melon’s Top 100.

TXT’s music video for “Chasing That Feeling” has also been gaining views at breakneck speed: as of 11 a.m. KST on October 14—less than 24 hours after its release—the video had already surpassed 14.95 million views on YouTube. The music video also reached No. 2 on YouTube Trends in both the United States and Canada.
