GOT7 Jinyoung Focuses on Acting Career after Departure from JYP Entertainment
After not renewing his contract with JYP Entertainment, GOT7 Jinyoung now dominates the small screen with his current and upcoming dramas.
The idol turned actor, who found his new nest with BH Entertainment, is currently making tvN's "The Devil Judge" a springboard for his leap forward.
Due to his impressive acting for his role as the righteous rookie judge Kim Ga On, aside from the high ratings the drama is getting, Jinyoung also earned the modifier "Litte Ji Sung" for his outstanding performance alongside veteran actor Ji Sung.
On June 28, Good Data Corporation, a hot topic analysis company, ranked him the second most buzzworthy actor for the fourth week of July (19th-25th).
In the second half of 2021, Jinyoung is also expected to star in the much-anticipated drama, "Yumi's Cells," alongside the star-studded cast Kim Go Eun, Ahn Bo Hyun, Lee Yu Bi, SHINee Minho, and more.
Meanwhile, the second idol-actor representative is none other than U-KISS Lee Junyoung, also known as Jun.
He recently received hot acknowledgment for his role in the KBS 2TV's "Imitation," which wrapped up last July 23.
Due to his skyrocketing career without a break, he is now set to debut on the silver screen, along with Girls' Generation Seohyun, after landing on the main role for the Netflix movie "Moral Sense." He also has an upcoming drama titled "I'll Become Your Night."
Last 2018, Jun was hailed as "Best New Actor" for his excellent performance in the K-drama "Goodbye to Goodbye."
SF9 Rowoon Draws Attention Globally Both as a K-pop Idol and Actor
In July 2021, SF9 made their successful comeback on the K-pop stage, "Tear Drop." The group became a popular topic for their genderless concept and received positive feedback for their song.
But aside from this, Rowoon (the group's lead vocalist, center, and visual) is also drawing attention from fans worldwide for his brilliant acting, and he is particularly popular in romance genres.
After JTBC's "She Would Never Know" was released in March, Rowoon has been selected as the main character of KBS 2TV's "Affection," scheduled to air in October, and MBC's "Tomorrow," which is preparing to air next year.
His continuous dramas started after K-drama enthusiasts fell in love with him for his role in the 2019 MBC TV series "Extraordinary You," where he also brought home his first "Best New Actor" award.
