On Wednesday, May 26, Billboard tweeted out the top 5 rankings for their World Albums Chart. Surprisingly, the top rankings were dominated by K-pop acts.

ENHYPEN's "BORDER : CARNIVAL" Topped The Billboard World Albums Charts

On May 26, Billboard announced that ENHYPEN's most recent release, "BORDER : CARNIVAL" topped the World Albums Chart. It is their first week at number one.

On Apr. 8, it was announced that "BORDER : CARNIVAL" had surpassed 370,000 copies in pre-order sales. A day prior to its release, it was reported to have reached 450,000 copies in pre-order sales. The mini-album was released on Apr. 26 in conjunction with its title track, "Drunk-Dazed."

"BORDER : CARNIVAL" debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200 just six months after their debut. This makes ENHYPEN the highest-charting fourth-generation K-pop act on the chart.

BTS Dominated Three Spots On The Billboard World Albums Chart

Following after ENHYPEN is fellow HYBE Label artist BTS. The boy group's albums "Map of the Soul: 7," "Love Yourself: Answer," and "Be" charted at numbers two, three, and four on the Billboard World Albums Chart, respectively.

"Map of the Soul: 7" was released on Feb. 2020. Upon its release, the album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, making it the group's fourth chart-topper in the United States. The album's two title tracks, "ON" and "Black Swan," both entered the Billboard Hot 100. "ON" peaked at number four while "Black Swan" peaked at number 57.

"Love Yourself: Answer" was released in Aug. 2018. When the album was first released, "Love Yourself: Answer" debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, making it their second number-one album in the United States.

It is the first and only K-pop album to stay on Billboard's main album chart for a whole year.

"Be" was released in Nov. 2020. When "Be" was first released, it topped the Billboard 200 charts, making it BTS's fifth album to do so. BTS became the fastest group to earn five chart-toppers in the United States since the Beatles. They are also the only act besides Taylor Swift to have topped the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 simultaneously.

The title track for "Be," "Life Goes On," debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making it BTS's third consecutive number-one song in the country. It is the first Korean-language song to do so.

BLACKPINK's "The Album" Ranks At Number Five On The Billboard World Albums Chart

BLACKPINK's Oct. 2020 release, "The Album," ranked at number five on the Billboard World Albums Chart this week. They are the highest-charting girl group on the said chart.

Upon the release of "THE ALBUM," the studio album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting female K-pop album and the highest-charting girl group album since Danity Kane's "Welcome to the Dollhouse" in 2008. BLACKPINK also debuted at the top of the Billboard Artist 100 chart at the time.

Numerous singles from "THE ALBUM" entered the Billboard Hot 100. "How You Like That," which was released on Jun. 2020, peaked at number 33. "Ice Cream (With Selena Gomez)," which was released on Aug. 2020, peaked at number 13, making it BLACKPINK's highest-charting song in the United States, "Lovesick Girls" peaked at number 59.
