LØREN had netizens and K-Pop fans curious about him when he had an appearance in the music video of BLACKPINK's latest track, "Lovesick Girls," which was released last October of this year. Since then, netizens who interested in it couldn't get their eyes off of him.
In an online community, one netizen posted pre-debut photos of LØREN that garnered huge attention for his distinct visuals and hip-hop style. The netizen shared that his real name is Lee Seung Joo and that he was born in 1995.

LØREN is signed with Fire Exit Records but works as a lyricist and producer under The Black Label, the subsidiary of YG Entertainment, founded in 2015. He teams up with other musicians, namely Vince and Danny Chung, in creating songs for YG and The Black Label's artists. Before going by his current name, he worked as a music producer under monikers "DJ Boid" and "Cawlr."
He is credited for writing and producing numerous songs for BLACKPINK and solo artist Somi. In fact, he wrote the lyrics for "Pretty Savage," "Lovesick Girls," and "You Never Know," which are songs included in the girl group's very first full-length album called "The Album." In addition, he was the one who produced Somi's latest track, "What Are You Waiting For."
While he appeared in BLACKPINK's MV for "Lovesick Girls," it was not the first time Blinks (BLACKPINK's official fan club) saw LØREN. One time, he uploaded a jamming session with BLACKPINK's Rose on his personal Instagram account. Through this, fans learned that he cannot only write and produce music but also brilliant in playing the guitar.
The Black Label producer was also stated to be a talented drummer. He has been playing drums for about ten years. And, he seems very good at English, considering the captions he writes on his official SNS accounts.
On Nov. 8, The Black Label surprisingly shared a teaser for LØREN, revealing that he would soon make his solo debut. Three days after, the music video teaser for the single entitled "Empty Trash" was uploaded on the agency's official YouTube channel.
On Nov. 13, the solo artist released his very first track with an accompanying music video. "Empty Trash" is described as a heavy rock song that brings us a nostalgic vibe of early 2000's rock bands. As of Nov. 16, the MV has reached 2.1 million views.
