Veteran singer Sohyang has confirmed that she will be joining the Busan episodes of 'Begin Again Korea' as a special guest busker.
According to multiple broadcasting and music officials on June 30, Sohyang will guest on the JTBC's music entertainment show 'Begin Again Korea' - busking in Busan.
'Begin Again Korea' is a program where various artists go on 'busking trips' to various places in South Korea. The cast, comprised of Lee So Ra, Henry, AKMU Suhyun, Hareem, Crush, Jukjae and Jung Seung Hwan, is comforting the Korean people who are having a hard time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following Lee Hi's recent appearance in the episodes in Gangwon Province, the 'Begin Again Korea' team is expected to give viewers a more special welcome this time as Sohyang participates in the lineup.
Since her debut in 1996, Sohyang has been titled the 'Voice of Heaven' through various music and performance activities. This year, she sang a project song for MBC's 'Recorded Memories' and OST 'Hopefully Sky' for tvN's drama 'Hi-bye, Mama!'
As it has been a long time since she appeared in a music entertainment show. Listeners are looking forward to what kind of songs the "Korean Mariah Carey" will sing in 'Begin Again Korea'.
Meanwhile, 'Begin Again Korea' airs every Saturday at 11 PM KST. The Busan episodes, starring Sohyang, are scheduled for July.
