SM Entertainment has shared an update on the health of Red Velvet’s Wendy after her unfortunate stage accident late last year.
Wendy fell from a stage while rehearsing for 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on December 25 of last year, sustaining injuries to her face and fractures to her right wrist and pelvis. She was hospitalized since then and took a hiatus from activities.
On April 3, the label told media outlets, "Though Wendy has gone far in her recovery, she is still receiving hospital treatment. She's improved a lot, and she's currently recovering and receiving treatment."
As previously reported, Wendy suffered facial, pelvic, and wrist injuries after falling 2.5 meters during rehearsals for the '2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon' on December 25 of last year. As the location of her injuries include sensitive areas, her recovery period is expected to be longer than fans may hope.
Since being injured, she first shared a personal update with fans on her birthday February 21. It was recently announced that she was cast for the Korean dub of “Trolls: World Tour.”
